Pet Import Services
What does it mean to import a pet by air?
Import rules can vary greatly between countries and some countries have strict rules on breed, age, health status and origin country. Pet owners must plan well in advance to meet the timelines for vaccinations, blood tests and permits to ensure a smooth entry for their pet. That’s where IAL comes in – we can help you arrange all of it.
Importing a pet is the process of bringing a pet animal (dog, cat or other companion animal) into a country from overseas. It involves meeting the destination country’s animal health, biosecurity and customs regulations to prevent diseases, ensure animal welfare and protect native ecosystems. This involves documentation (vaccination records, microchip ID and veterinary health certificates), possible quarantine periods and inspections by border or agricultural authorities on arrival.
