Comfort Stops
What is a comfort stop?
During your pet’s travels, they may have a long delay between connecting flights, which would require a mandatory comfort stop. Rather than stay cooped up during this time, a comfort stop gives them the chance to stretch, play, and relax in a safe environment before continuing their journey.
How do comfort stops work?
At the Lounge, we partner with WestJet Cargo when there is a mandatory requirement to provide their clients comfort stop services in Calgary and Toronto. If your pet’s travel requires a comfort stop, WestJet Cargo will arrange the booking with us directly. Once your pet arrives at our facility in Calgary or Toronto, We will provide you with an update and pictures once your pet has settled in at our facility.
We are able to provide bonded comfort stops for WestJet’s International arrivals in Calgary with onward bookings. If your pet is travelling to Canada on any other airline, we are only able to provide comfort stops for those international arrivals once they have cleared customs at their first point of entry. We can always arrange for their onward travel to other destinations throughout Canada in conjunction with their comfort stop if required. We strive to make your pets’ travel a little bit less stressful by providing a loving and comfortable environment for them to relax in while they are with us.
